Today, I had a note to skip P.E. that my grandpa had written because my mom was busy. His handwriting is terrible, so they didn't believe that he'd written it. I'd twisted my ankle and I got to run another mile for "lying". FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Run home
Today, I ran the mile in gym class. I was the second to last person to finish, and I was left panting and feeling faint. When the teacher found out I hadn't come in dead last, he accused me of skipping a lap and is now making me rerun the entire thing. FML
Today, I had a swollen knee, and was slowly limping to the toilet. All of a sudden, my mom ran past me, beating me to it. As she closed the door, she said, "AT LEAST I CAN RUN!" FML
Acting out
Today, I was running to my car, slipped, and slammed my head on the car door. I started driving to the hospital because it was bleeding profusely and I was dizzy, I called my mom to tell her what had happened. She said I was grounded for "goofing off" and that she was "sick of my shit". FML
Today, I decided to be healthy and go for a run. I broke my ankle. FML
Today, a fifth grader gave me a note from his "father" excusing him from PE. It was riddled with spelling errors and shockingly poor grammar, so I rejected it as a blatant fake. Several hours later, I was informed by his very angry father that it wasn't actually fake. FML
Today, I had to run a timed mile. I'm terrible at running. During the run, I thought I was doing a good job. That is, until the teacher told me to stop because I was three laps behind everyone else. FML
No excuses
Today, I broke my leg. My mom told me I still have to go to tennis class tomorrow because the course isn't refundable. FML
Today, my legs were really sore from working out yesterday, so it hurt going down the stairs at work. To avoid the pain, l ignored how stupid I looked and limped down the staircase. When I finally got to the bottom, I hopped off the last step. And twisted my ankle. FML
Charming
Today, I texted my mom if she could pick me up from the hospital. She replied, "No fatty, walk home." I have a broken foot. FML
Unbelievable
Today, I slipped and fell down the stairs, landing hard on my knee. Through my screams of agony, my mom accused me of exaggerating the pain, and said I was just being an attention seeker, before finally taking me to hospital. I was told my leg was broken. She refused to apologize. FML

Apparently only kids in school are allowed to have poor handwriting these days...shoulda said your grandpa was a doctor, that'd clear it right up

Oww. If those staff suspected anything, couldn't they have checked the ankle? Our staff could have.

They thought you were twisting their arm, so they made you run with a twisted ankle.

Improvised version: They thought you were pulling their leg, so they made you run a mile in their shoes with a twisted ankle.

For the record they can't make OP or anyone for that matter do something you don't want to do. Unless they're searching for drugs, weapons ect. They cant make you run or even participate in physical activity. They should also have called OPs home if they were that worried OP was lying.

I don't understand why kids always make excuses for skipping gym class, it's the easiest class on the planet lol

Unless you're actually hurt. Then it's not so easy.

This is when you Politely ask to go to the principals office and have them call your mom

In the US a lot of athletic coaches/ teachers abuse their "authority". If they feel like being rude, they'll tell you they get to determine if you're injured or not & you can get in trouble for walking off even if it's to go see an athletic trainer.

there's no ******* way OP can run a ******* mile with a ******* twisted ankle,. It's just not ******* possible., even if he/she said they limp a ******* mile, totally ******* false., they'd either give the **** up, quit & start ******* crying, or ******* piss/shit themselves while attempting to ******* do a mile run on twisted ******* ankle

Couldn't you be more persistent and insist that they call him and clear it up? I wouldn't have sat there and be called a liar for nothing.

You should've let the P.E. teacher call your mother. That would be more than enough evidence.

That's what I don't understand. Why would OP listen? Just refuse.

sue the school if you further damaged your ankle.
DocBastard 40
Yes, suing the school makes much more sense than, say, using your brain and explaining things to the teacher. Why the **** is everyone so quick to scream "SUE!!" instead of talking things through?
felixshen 18
Because you might get a nice fat settlement out of it? :D
Zebediabolical 45
Because it's one of two typical American retirement plans. Fat lawsuit and hitting the lottery. The lawsuit is much more likely. AMERICA, **** YEAH!

I'm not American.

Say no. They can't make you do it. Sack up.
fleur_de_fevrier_fml 23
Why would you do it? Did they put a gun on your head? You should have refused and if they took disciplinary actions against you, your mom and grandpa would have cleared things up.

Please refer to the Milgram experiment and it's successors. People don't like to buck authority when they're put on the spot.
