Today, I got a big math test back. Good news: I can connect abstract ideas beyond what was taught. Bad news: I can’t do simple math, such as 30/-5. I failed. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Maths is hard
Today, disappointed with my results on a mathematics test, I went over it and realized my teacher had added up the marks incorrectly, leaving me with 17% less than I earned. The person who's supposed to be teaching me math can't even perform basic arithmetic. FML
Today, I cheated on my math exam. I still failed. FML
Today, I got my first university math midterm back. I did so bad that my teacher put a sadface on the first page. FML
Today, I missed points on a math quiz because I thought 2 times 5 was 20. I'm a math major. FML
Maths
Today, I realized my brain has degraded so fucking much when I could only do one math question over the span of 24 hours. FML
Today, I had to complete a simple math problem to submit a web form in order to show that I wasn't a spam robot. I got it wrong. I'm officially too bad at arithmetic to prove I'm human. FML
Today, I got back my math test. Instead of taking the time to mark the mistakes, my professor just circled the bottom half of the page and wrote "OMG." FML
Blackout
Today, I failed my maths exam because of one single question, which I have been practicing for months and gotten very good at it. It was the first question… however, when the exam started, I forgot it all. FML
Who are you calling random?!
Today, I failed a calculus exam because I simply was too burnt out to study for it. I have not wanted to even look at a math problem since the beginning of the year, and I procrastinate all day instead of doing work, and it leads me here, typing at 2 a.m. to random strangers while having to get up tomorrow at 7. FML
Today, I had the worst day of my life. I'd studied science for the whole damn night, only to realize the next morning that it's a math exam. FML

“…I most therefore conclude that, given some quantity of energy, it can be equated to the product of mass and the speed of light raised to the second power. In other words, E=mc². Anyway, back to the original question: 30/–5 = purple”

Don't worry mate, you've got it the good way around. Simple math, you won't have a need for in the workforce, everyone has calculators. Abstract ideas, thinking outside the box, an analytical brain, that's the skills that will get you somewhere in the real world, that can't be taught! (from someone who failed high school, has no qualifications, and can still earn over $100K as a financial analyst). Not everybody learns the same, keep on trucking!

You should always check your work! Double and triple check!
