Today, I found out that even after a really bad break up and the fact that I left him for someone else, my parents offered my ex-boyfriend to join us on a one week family vacation. He agreed. FML

Today, my ex-boyfriend called my parents to let them know I broke up with him. He was sobbing. FML
Today, my parents invited all their kids and grandkids to join them on a vacation trip to the mountains; all their kids except me, that is. I'm not invited. But they did invite my ex-husband. And his new girlfriend. FML
Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. I found out he was seeing someone behind my back: my ex-boyfriend. FML
Today, I went to spend some time with my family. Unbeknownst to me, while I was having quality time with my family, my boyfriend of a year and a half was packing up his belongings and going back to his estranged wife. FML
Today, I found out that my ex slept with someone during a work trip and came back to break up with me. He spent the whole breakup making me think that the problem in the relationship was me. FML
Today, I found out that after reuniting with an old boyfriend, getting close with his two year old son, and moving closer to him to properly be a part of their lives, he got back together with his ex-wife. FML
Today, days after I broke up with my girlfriend, my dad tried to make her feel better by inviting her to our family BBQ next weekend. FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend of 7 years has been communicating extensively with his ex, who lives out of state, for over 6 months. She booked flights and a hotel nearby in a month and invited him. He didn't say no. FML
Today, my mom called me to tell me she'd got in touch with my ex for his birthday, and that the two of them had made a plan for us to get back together. My new boyfriend was in the process of proposing to me. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, and my heart is shattered to pieces. The worst part is we are supposed to go on vacation together in a week, and neither of us is backing out, or giving the other the room, so it looks like we’ll be staying together on vacation for 11 days straight. FML

it's annoying that people think the OP is a tramp just because she left her ex for another guy. people change. people grow up. people meet other people. maybe she found someone she had a better connection with. there's no sense in staying with someone just for the sake of staying with them; if you suspect you'll be happier with someone else, go for it. don't cheat on your SO, but also don't cheat yourself.

have any of you thought that maybe it's neither of their faults? sometimes relationships just don't work. and just because she left him for someone else does NOT mean she cheated on him. she could have just fallen in love with someone else. things happen and she probably feels bad enough about it. what is it any of your businesses about it? i'm sure all of you have done things in your life that you feel bad about and things that may have hurt someone else. nobody's perfect.

What I want to know is, why would the boyfriend accept? After a bad breakup that'd be awkward and I don't think it'd be worth it even if I wanted to go just to make my ex miserable. I mean, family friends or no, I think I'd just have politely declined. :[ That sucks.

Sorry, but all of you people assuming that "l left him for someone else" means that she was cheating or that she left some perfect guy that was completely loyal to her or w/e for some man ***** are just idiots. Maybe they just weren't a good couple. He obviously doesn't mind any of this if he's still willing to go on vacation with her and her family. FYL OP for having (seemingly) oblivious parents.
