Today, I found out that my boyfriend of 7 years has been communicating extensively with his ex, who lives out of state, for over 6 months. She booked flights and a hotel nearby in a month and invited him. He didn't say no. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Dealbreaker?

Holy jealousy, Batman!
Today, after just two days of asking me to officially be his girlfriend, my boyfriend started following his ex-fiancé. When confronted, he admitted to chatting with her for over two hours about an important family matter. FML
Today, on my way back from a family trip, my fiancé informed me via text that he'd been cheating on me for years and that he'd moved out of our house and left the state. He blocked me before I could respond. We were together for 7 years. FML
Cheap-ass lying bro-bro!

Such a player
Today, I learned that my long term/long distance (two hours away) boyfriend has had not one, but two regular "girlfriends" closer to his home. He'd told them that we broke up while still coming to visit me weekly. He did stop coming by a few months ago because "work was crazy" but that didn't stop him from sending "pics" though. FML
Assumptions
Today, I found out my boyfriend added his ex on Facebook and Instagram, all within a few days. Lucky me. FML
Today, I found out via Facebook status that my boyfriend is going to Hawaii with a group of friends, including his ex-girlfriend for a few weeks. When I confronted him about it, he said he didn't think I needed to know, and to mind my own business. I think I'm about to be single. FML

Well... I guess he’ll soon be your ex boyfriend. Though I suppose it’s possible that it’s platonic. Depends on how you found out. Did he tell you or did you stumble across something?

The explicit mention of the hotel suggests there's more to it than catching up...

She invited him to her hotel. Odds are pretty solid that it's not platonic lol

While he should have told you, seeing a friend who's visiting from out of state isn't that big a thing, even if they used to date, especially as presumably that was almost a decade ago.

They've been "communicating extensively". It's not as if one day out of the blue, the ex-girlfriend called and said, "Hey, I'll be in your town in a month or so, want to grab some coffee?" OP's boyfriend is cheating on her with his ex.

I mean yes - not knowing all the details - it does sound dodgy, ex-girlfriend, meeting in a hotel etc., but I mean it has been 7 years! I've definitely got some guys who I don't think I'll ever be completely indifferent about even if I met them after a decade, but then there's some who I've just been good mates and it's ended amicably and I don't really see a reason why you'd have to throw that completely out of the window. Of course be vary of it - that good friendship is probably what lead to romance -, but most likely, especially if he told you about it himself, they somehow ended up on each other's radar after years and were curious of how the other was doing and the conversation just carried on as it would do with friends. It's definitely not grounds for immediate break up!

Dump him immediately. At the very least, he has been having an emotional affair with his ex. He has also shown that he has every intention of making it a physical affair. Don't give him the, "if you go we're through" ultimatum. Just leave. You don't need to argue with him, or convince him that what he's done is wrong, or get his approval to leave. Just leave.

"He didn't say no.". That heavily implies he didn't answer "yes" either...

Lol how would they be "friends" if they booked a hotel together?
