Today, a coworker accidentally drank my coffee and made me more in an identical mug, placing it back like nothing happened. Thanks to all the sucralose in the not-my-soy creamer she used, I'm still on the can. It's midnight. FML

Too bad you can't "accidentally" put some laxative in hers.

... what the **** is your malfunction? "Don't be lactose intolerant"? It's not something people choose to be, and non-dairy creamer makers have been doing their damnedest to make their products indistinguishable from milk. Do you think people choose to have chronic illnesses too? Do you choose to be a huge jerk for no reason, or is that just a problem you have?

How did she gain access to your coffee? If you’re a serious coffee-drinker they have to pry your mug from your cold, dead fingers.

1. I work at a vet 2. I was busy bathing a very fluffy dog 3. I was really thirsty when I got done, that I took a good chug of coffee before the taste difference caught my attention 4. I am somehow an ungrateful hypocrite for being upset and for not being 100% the next day at work ?

That's why you need a mug that says "**** off".

What a shitty situation...

Honestly, i used ro guard my coffee cup like it was at a night club and someone might roofie it. Coworkers have done the oddest things to each other's food and drink in offices I've worked in. Instead of worrying she'd get blamed for accidentally drinking the wrong coffee, why not just say oops. Its coffee.

I'm not even sure that I understand so you're lactose intolerant and the artificial sweetener is a diuretic I think was your point but yeah you probably deserved it. don't be lactose intolerant. if you can't tell the difference between that coffee and your coffee you shouldn't be drinking it anyways. you have bigger problems.

Sucralose is just Splenda I think you mean Lactose

Some people have bad reactions to Splenda. It dries my eyes out, and gave issues similar to OP's to two of my cousins when their mom decided that cold turkey replacing Splenda with cane sugar was a good idea.

I am lucky enough that I react similarly to both! /s
