Today, due to a health insurance mix up, my schizophrenic girlfriend has been off her meds for a little over a week. She's convinced I can read her mind, and if I don't stop "pretending" she'll slit my throat in my sleep. Her medication won't be available for at least another two weeks. FML

I think it's cute that, even though she threatened you and is off her meds for the mean time, you still stay beside her; and if worse comes to worse, take her to the ER to get a substitute until she gets her meds.

That sucks OP. I know what it's like to be with a schizophrenic person that hasn't taken their pills in a while, it's a very scary thing. I hope that things change in your favor soon so nobody gets hurt.

This is going to be a lifelong condition. Which is likely to go up and down like a perpetual rollercoaster. Are you sure you want to take this on for the rest of your life? I mean, just imagine trying to raise children with this person. Children who are also more likely to be mentally ill too. And if it is a temporary relationship based only on sex; how much is a piece worth? My advice is to get gone. Long and far, far away. No matter how much better she may get in the future.

Call 911 and have an ambulance restrain her and take her to the ER. They can help her there.
