Today, as I was walking home, I saw an ambulance pull into my driveway with its sirens blaring. Thinking it could be for my sick father, I started frantically sprinting. I managed to trip on my pant-leg, twisting my ankle in the process. They were just turning around in my driveway. FML

I'm sorry op, that must have been alarming. I care for an ill family member, seeing an ambulance at my house would terrify me. I hope they at least took a look at your leg. :)

Good on you for caring about your father. You're a good son /daughter.

Well the ambulance could take you if it was bad enough sort of a win for that...hope your ankle gets better..,

#26, maybe you can get the ambulance to dump their existing patient and take you to the hospital instead. Learn to fake the symptoms of a stroke and you will win the free ride for sure!

That happened to me once. Turned out to be a friend of my dads coming to visit. All my neighbors came running too.

Why in the name of science has this been 'thumbed' down? He's using a personal experience to show his sympathy! WTF is wrong with you people?!

"Come back I hurt myself"

Look on the bright side op. You're very good at chasing ambulances which means you could be a very successful attorney.

I would have reacted the same was as OP. Sirens blaring, while going into your driveway, of course you think the worst.

How does anyone say you deserved this? sorry you had to be scared like that.

Any good son or daughter would respond this way, I bet you got right up and kept running

Yea.. It must be terrible that your sick father wasn't taken away by paramedics. What?

I think they were actually refering to the fact they twisted their ankle...
