Today, after staying up late all week to get work done, I arrived at my job having accomplished all my goals. In my sleep-deprived stupor, I completely forgot to bring the briefcase that had all of the evidence of that hard work. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I have a busy week scheduled at work, so I took my file home to smash out some reports. Naturally I did not do any work at home and then I also forgot to take the file back to work the next day. Instead of saving time, I wasted an hour driving home to collect it. FML
Today, after being a few minutes late to work a few times this week, I left the house super early this morning. When I got to work, security hadn’t unlocked the doors yet, so I waited in my car, where I ended up falling asleep and sleeping through most of my entire morning shift. FML
Today, after working all day and putting in hours of overtime, I realized I never clocked in. FML
On time
Today, I finally got up early enough to get to work on time. I arrived 15 minutes early only to realize that I'd left my work laptop at home. Ended up being 30 minutes late. FML
More speed, less haste
Today, I was running late for work and, in my rush, spilled coffee all over my shirt. When I finally got to the office, I realized I had forgotten my laptop at home. FML
Great prank guys, love it
Today, after working like a caffeine-fuelled thunderstorm for 9 hours straight on an art project, my 2 friends informed me that it was due next week. I slept for 10 hours, and then went to my class without my project, thinking I lucked out in the long run. Clearly not, as it was due today. FML
Bad start
Today, I woke up an hour and half late to work, sleeping through nine alarms, then fell and injured my knee going into work. I'd forgotten my work ID and door card, and misplaced my coffee mug. It's only 9 a.m.! FML
Nighty night
Today, I got into trouble for sleeping at work. FML
Late late late
Today, after going to bed at a decent time last night so I could get up early, I overslept. Not only that, I thought today was the day of my job interview, so I rushed to get ready and go. As I parked in the parking lot, I realized today was the day before said interview. FML
Today, I pulled an all-nighter to finish rereading my set work for my English exam. I managed to finish earlier than expected and decided to get some sleep. I then promptly slept through my alarm and missed my exam. FML

I think you need to chill, like many of the people on this app. I'm sure they didn't write their comment like that because they're and idiot. It's kinda something people do when their simply unsure of how to express their sympathy. In my opinion, there are two likely causes for the causes of this comment: 1. They made a mistake and expressed their sympathy in a way undesirable to many people. 2. They are trolls that feel no sympathy. Either way, you need to calm down. If you feel bothered, downvote the comment. Otherwise, I would rather you take the first situation I offered as true, and behave in that fashion. I am aware that this comment may seem somewhat hypocritical, and after all, I am trying to end comments like mine and the one above me. I found this as an entertainment app, and I would like to keep it in a way that people can express themselves and their personal humor and not get their heads bitten off. Once again, I hope you never see a comment like my own again.

"Either way you need to calm down." This coming from somebody who ranted for a couple of paragraphs and tells strangers what to do? Lol. I posted a funny comment in response to a bad one; I'm perfectly calm. ;-)

Ok, you're perfectly calm, that was a generalization. I just found your comment very rude, in a similar fashion to many others on FML.

I'm okay with you finding my comment rude; rudeness is subjective. From my perspective, telling somebody what to do and making incorrect generalizations is rude.

Just explain the situation to your boss, he'll understand.

Not all bosses are as understanding as yours may be

Sounds like quite the predicamant, OP. It'll all work out, just do your best (and keep up the hard work)!

I'm sure the boss will let you step out for a moment, to retrieve briefcases, if you can't get someone to deliver it..good luck.. OP

That sucks OP.

That sucks OP but surely your work should not be expecting such unsociable hours that you are that tired. I recommend talking to HR or your supervisor. You should have a contract with the number of hours.

You should explain what happened and ask if someone might be able to bring it to you
