Today, a male friend of mine tried to kiss me. When I shoved him away and demanded to know what the fuck he was doing, he said he didn't think I was really a lesbian because I went on a date with a guy. Once. Over 15 years ago. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Misunderstanding of the night
Today, I went to a party where I met an amazing guy. After having great conversation all night and what I thought was a serious connection, I leaned in to kiss him. He screamed, forcefully pushed my face away with his hand, and said he was gay. FML
Today, I had a date with a guy. We ran into our gay friend at the theater, who insisted on coming along. My date was pissed, but I couldn't turn our friend away. Afterwards, my date texted our friend, mad because he crashed the date. Turns out he isn't gay. And only crashed it because he likes me. FML
Today, a guy kept flirting with me despite all my hints for him to kindly fuck off and die, so I lied and said I'm a lesbian. This didn't stop him. It got so bad, I had to claim I was born with a dick and say that's why I like girls. Only then did he say "Eeewww..." and back off. FML
You tried
Today, I was set up on a blind date. When I arrived, the person waiting for me was a woman. It appears that my friends have always thought I was a lesbian, and that they 'played along' when I talked about guys. FML
You're weird, dude
Today, a slightly older guy friend of mine told me that he thinks of me as a little sister. Immediately afterwards, he tried to make out with me. FML
Interested parties
Today, one of my guy friends, who I’m not interested in romantically, asked me out on a date. This is the third time a "friend" has asked me out on a date. FML
Not coming out yet, sorry
Today, a "friend" of mine told everyone that I had a crush on a girl I used to be really good friends with 2 years ago. I never liked her that way, and had said that only to hide the fact that I'm gay and don't feel safe with boys. Her current boyfriend is seriously annoyed with me. FML
Today, my good buddy of about two years set me up on a blind date. I got to the meeting point and realized that my date was a guy. My "buddy" honestly thought I was gay. FML
Today, I went on a date with a guy that I really like. At the last minute he informed me a friend would be tagging along. To keep his friend from being a third-wheel, I kept up a conversation, and managed to piss my date off. He thought I would be a better match for his friend. FML
Today, my friend told me that she gave my number to a guy I've liked for a while. I asked why and she just said "He's just going to have to tell you himself." I got hopeful and really nervous. A few hours later he calls. Turns out, he's called to try and get a date with my gay friend. FML

ugh I always say us lesbians and straight guys would make great friends if it wasn't for their stupid belief that all lesbians eventually will be open to be with men. sorry this happened to you but we all learn our lesson at some point.

Because surely every heterosexual woman on the planet must be just dying to kiss him and would be absolutely thrilled and honored at the opportunity to do so.
lunaangel 14
Hopefully he did it because he like likes you rather than because he's a jerk

That doesn't really make it any better.

Yeah, pretty sure he's a jerk whether he likes OP or not.

Even if you aren't a gold star lesbian, it doesn't mean that he gets to kiss you without your permission. Not ok at all.
GhostFox 34
'Gold star' lesbian/gay is such a flawed idea. The idea of dating someone because of societal pressure telling you it is expected of you and abnormal not to date them somehow making one person inferior to another is stupid.

Honestly op and everyone is overreacting in my opinion. It was just a kiss, be flattered that someone wanted to kiss you :)

Consent is always required, even for "just" a kiss. I would be pretty angry if somebody just tried to kiss me like that, regardless of sexual orientation. If we were on a date, at least that would give them plausible reason to truly believe that it was okay, but you can't just go around kissing people without their consent. It's even worse in this situation because OP very CLEARLY indicated that she would not wish to kiss him and anyone with half a brain should be able to tell that lesbians probably don't want men kissing them like that randomly.

Why would she be flattered? She is gay. She doesn't find men sexually attractive and not to mention it is a violation of personal space.

First of all, not into guys. Doesn't want to be kissed by guys. Shouldn't have to be. Second of all, that whole 'be flattered someone wanted you' attitude is gross. Really gross.
GhostFox 34
By this logic, that someone who was nearly forced to kiss someone they aren't attracted to should "be flattered," rape victims and other sexual violation victims "should be flattered" that someone wanted to do that to them. The whole "should be flattered" thing is an excuse to move the blame from the aggressor to elsewhere, or otherwise make the act acceptable, when it isn't. Congrats on using a justification used by rapists and victim blamers worldwide! Next you'll start saying that the OP deserved it for not coming across as a blazing stereotypical 'dyke' lesbian, no?
