The naughty step
Today, I found out the position I thought I had earned by working hard was only to separate me from my coworkers because I "talked too much". Instead of addressing the issue like adults, I've essentially been put in time-out. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I was given my marching orders because I corrected my supervisor on something he was actually doing wrong. It seems I deserve this for "not learning to obey my immediate superiors." FML
Today, we had a meeting at work, during which I got reprimanded for "disappearing." I'm the only one who constantly stays busy, since I'm broken in a way that my self-worth directly correlates with how productive I am. FML
Today, I went into my former workplace. While there, an ex-coworker told me that after I quit, they split my position into two separate jobs. When I worked there, my boss had told me to suck it up whenever I said there was too much work for just one person. FML
Today, I was called into the office and suspended due to allegations made by a coworker of poor work performance. Yesterday, I received a certificate praising my work performance. I might be dismissed at any moment. FML
Today, I was demoted at work to a much harder and more time-consuming position because, I quote, "You have more experience." My boss is now telling the others I volunteered to be moved to the lower position. FML
Today, I got yelled at for calling out for mandated overtime at work. They told me if I don't switch to another day I will get suspended. FML
Today, I watched a manager and a co-worker sit underneath a table in our store all day as I got yelled at for not working hard enough. I was the only one actually working. FML
Today, I had a meeting with HR that resulted in me being dismissed for poor performance. I was confused because up until that point, my line manager had said my performance was exemplary. Turns out it wasn't, and he didn't tell me because he didn't want me to be stressed. FML
Today, I had an hour-long meeting with my manager where she informed me the reason I had not been promoted is because she felt that people would not like to work for me, because I would, "make them do their job." FML
Today, I was terminated from my job. This comes after I sent HR an email about an inappropriate relationship between my manager and a counselor. Seems like I should have kept my mouth shut. FML

I have a co-worker like you at my job. Our supervisor on occasion has to separate him from the rest of us on the work floor. It gets really quiet and boring then..

You obviously deserve it for talking too much, OP.

We have a coworker who they did the exact same thing with. She's good at her job but highly sensitive and instead of hurting her feelings or causing a rift, they moved her to a "special position" where she can do her job but stop distracting everyone else. Im on the other side of it and I don't see why it's a bad thing - quit annoying your coworkers to where they have to move you.

I did, I thought it would be funny at the time. Of course it was pretty much midnight when I did
sabrinalynn22 19
Maybe you should focus more at work.
Katiekhalifa_fml 28
Maybe you shod focus more on what the FML actually said.
sabrinalynn22 19
Well it sounds to me that she was moved because she was distracting her coworkers by talking too much.
sabrinalynn22 19
And maybe you should also learn how to spell.
