Today, I tried to stage an intervention for a friend who abuses drugs. I ended up with my hair on fire. FML

That's just so wrong that your friend abuses drugs. What did the drugs ever do to him/her that makes it ok to beat them?

You should put them on the show intervention if it's that bad. But don't try to just do it yourself. Even though your doing something good!

It's been proven time and time again that interventions do not work in the long run, I guess you learned they rarely work in the short term either. I hope you aren't burned and any missing hair grows back quickly :)

Hopefully that was your friends rock bottom, every person's rock bottom is different. I know you are the one that was lit on fire and that really sucks for you but you were being a really good friend. Believe me, from personal experience having a true friend while you are going through addiction, means more than you will ever know.

At least you have a good heart and tried to help :) but sometimes these kinds of things should be left to professionals, so things like...flaming hair...don't happen...
