That's how I roll

Today, a buttmunch customer brought in $7 worth of pennies I had to count and roll. As I was putting them in the deposite box at the end of my shift, I fumbled and dropped the rolls. All but one broke, spilling their contents on the floor. FML

You do know that in some areas o the work it's illegal to pay with excessive amounts of change... right? I know I'm allowed to smile and tell customers that I'm not legally allowed to take more than 26 pennies in a single transaction. There's a limit on everything else too but I happened to memorize the penny limit because the damn things suck.

Pennies are still legal tender. Legally a store is obligated to accept any type of bill/coin as long as it is legal tender.

LMAOO. ohman.

well, I had once got 30 dollars in 5,10 and 20 cent peices for a parcket of ciggarettes then i dropped one of the coins and when I began to stand up I thumped my head on the register. it hurt. I know how it feels

I had someone pay an order worth around $60 in small silver coins. Ugh. I feel your pain.

They're called dimes. Now ya know.

@ kukopia: "They're called dimes. Now ya know." Not to be a dick, but since you set the precedent.... The term 'dime' isn't universal for 10¢ coins. Additionally, did it ever occur to you to click on PandaPandaPandaX's name and see where she is from? AUSTRALIA And in Australia, the smallest silver-ish coin isn't a ten-cent piece called a dime (like it is in the US). It's a 5¢ coin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coins_of_the_Australian_dollar Now YOU know.

Small silver coins= nickles and dimes.

she's from Australia ^ so ACTUALLY it's 5 & 10 cent pieces. fail..

oh and in Australia, our local bank has a free money counter in banks :)

USA banks usually have money counters but there's a fee to use them.

that sucks. but you did drop it. that's probably your fault.

Reminds me of that Dexter's Labaraotry episode where Dexter pays the ice cream man with a jar of pennies and it ruins his ******* life hahaha.

It's illegal to purchase anything over 25 cents in pennies here. :) Makes refusing them so much fun

counting isn't that hard.
