Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

its important to look at it from the perspective, of not wasting your time or his in a relationship you aren't interested in anymore. the honesty of it upfront might be painful, but it's better than pretending for years. good luck

it really depends on what your intention is. keep relationship: make a list of what you need to continue the relationship. if they're willing to work on it, keep trying. if they scoff (even once) the relationship is already over. done with relationship: prep your exit strategy and be leaving as soon as you've had the chat. the chat goes "I'm not in this relationship anymore, I wish you the best of luck with your life. goodbye".

Starting like this is a good way to start. Specify immediately after whether or not it’s just dissatisfaction and can be worked on, or if you want to leave. If it’s the former, work on phrasing your grievances as neutrally as possible, without sounding like you’re blaming him (i.e. “I feel frustrated when I come home and the dishes from this morning haven’t been done” and not “You need to do the dishes when you get home”); if it’s the latter still consider doing that so that he at least knows why you decided to leave and he can’t twist it as easily. It sucks to have this kind of conversation but sometimes you need to do it before things will get better. Whether that’s with or without your boyfriend, that’s on you.

Send him a break up text and ghost him. That's the modern way to do it.

Show him this post....

just be honest. if you're not happy then it's not worth wasting either of your time in a relationship where one or both isn't happy anymore. breaking up is hard and painful but honesty is way better than leading them on.

This is a site for posting FMLs. Not one for dating advice. Furthermore, it's absolutely impossible for anyone to give helpful advice without any context at all.
