Self report
Today, at work, I had to analyze timecards data and generate a report on the least billed / occupied people at work. I found myself at the bottom. I sent it to my boss too. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my boss dropped a highly important and dense report on my desk that had to be finished by the end of the day. After the initial panic attack and hours of scrupulous work, I finished. She then asked me to pick up the revised copy, where my name was replaced with hers. FML
Today, I have to show my boss daily reports on my work over the last three months. She told me this yesterday. They're mandatory, but nobody has ever wanted to see them in the three years I've been working here, so I have long since stopped doing them. It's now 3 am, I start work at 7.30, and I'm not even close to done. FML
Today, I went to deliver some reports to my boss in his office. He was facing away from me and ranting about his "useless employees", so I slipped in and waited for him to put the phone down. Turns out he was talking to himself. When he noticed me, he bitched me out and threatened to fire me. FML
Today, after working my ass off for months trying to prove myself, I received an email from my boss regarding the end-year function. Excited to be invited, I opened the email just to see I'm the only one being left behind to answer the phones. FML
Today, I did my work, the work of my co-worker who called in sick and the work of my boss who has no idea what the hell is going on all at the same time. I didn't get a promotion because I don't work hard enough. FML
Today, my boss is writing me up for not signing a report before I left work. He refused to print the report that day, and I don't have access to the printers. FML
Today, after working all day and putting in hours of overtime, I realized I never clocked in. FML
Today, by request from my new boss, I came into work over an hour early to finish some backed-up filing. This seemed like a great opportunity to earn some extra overtime pay. After spending an hour and half filing, I realized I hadn't clocked in for the day. FML
Today, my co-worker spent the afternoon taking online personality quizzes and messaging everyone the results. She was particularly proud of one which told her she was a hard-working overachiever. My boss walked by just as the message for that one popped up and I got in trouble for slacking off. FML
Today, I had a huge amount of work to get through. Two colleagues offered to help, because one had nothing else to do, and the other couldn't work until I was done. My boss got really pissed at me for "making" them do my job and wasting their time. FML

Maybe they knew the likely results beforehand and wanted you to make that realization with the results.

Long, long ago I worked with a technician who had worked as a console operator at NASA during Apollo. He told me that he figured out how the connections for the console he manned could be added to another console so one position was eliminated. He thought it through and wrote up his suggestion. His supervisor was very pleased and they made the change and they even gave him a moderate monetary reward. And then they laid off the least senior technician - him. He knew this was going to happen because they went strictly by seniority and he was the last hired… I asked why he did that when he knew it would result in him getting laud off? His answer was that once he figured out that his position could be eliminated he felt that he was useless and that was not a good feeling. He found a new job (where he was working when I first met him) and didn’t seem bitter or upset… In the long run we need both a paycheck and validation from our job. Many people are only concerned about the paycheck. Having a job that gives you both a paycheck and validation is really what most of us want… Sooner or later if you are the least utilized person in the company (however that was measured) either your employer or you are going to figure that out. Though it also matters if this was a long term trend as many jobs have cycles when they are busy and some when they are less busy. While we all enjoy some slack time from time to time, filling the slack times with busywork is never very enjoyable for most people if it happens often… I commend you for your honesty in aparantly reporting yourself as under utilized. You might gain more duties and that might actually be a good thing, or as you probably fear, you might lose this job. I am hoping that your case results in more duties and that ultimately leads to good things. Or you might find another job that better unitizes your skills.

You should have fudged the data when you had it in your hands. You probably could have put yourself in the average range, and watch your fellow bottom-dwellers get axed while you get to scrape by.
