Patience

Today, I had to study for an important test but I could barely focus because my roommate had his music blasting at full volume. Since we get along well, I decided to put up with it. I just found out he forgot to turn it off and left over 6 hours ago. FML

Why didn't you just ask him to turn off the music? If you guys were friends I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

While I understand your mindset for putting up with the loud music, it couldn't have hurt to ask him to turn it down, considering the two of you get along well. Then you might've realized that he wasn't home 6 hours ago, so YDI.

Mention he left it on when you he gets back Props for putting up with it though it can be hard to study with a musical distraction

Why would OP go somrwhere else when he can simply turn the music off?

I find it strange that he would forget to turn it off if it was at FULL volume. wouldn't you be able to hear it clearly from anywhere in the building?!

Your dedication to keep on studying and not go ask your roommate to turn down the music is honestly remarkable.

If you don't respect your own needs then how can you expect anyone else?

It wouldn't have hurt your relationship if you asked for him to turn it down in a polite manner.

YDI for being a pushover

If you get along so well, shouldn't you have felt comfortable to knock on the door and ask him to turn it down?

wow... you would have to be a really good person to put up with that.

OP is a "she"
