Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I realised I get really attached to characters in long-running TV shows, because I have no friends. FML
Today, I realised that I'm kinda living the life of a Disney princess, because I'm lonely and all my friends are animals. Yes, I also talk to them. FML
Today, my roommates yet again decided to have a Marvel movie night. They do this three or four times a month, staying up all night, blasting the sound, and yelling like lunatics. The living room shares a wall with my bedroom. I fucking hate Marvel movies. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I binged Star Wars. Now he keeps talking about how the Empire is superior to the Republic, digging up Reddit threads / YouTube videos / expressing his own political ideas to convince me of this. I just wanted to watch the movies. FML
Today, I introduced my friend to a show I really like. I told her that I’m only halfway through the second season, but she should check it out. Since she’s on leave from work, she decided to binge watch every available episode, then text me multiple spoilers. FML
Today, I lost half my friends and was kicked out of my Star Wars club, all because I said that The Acolyte is unwatchable trash. Apparently that makes me "an alt-right Trump-humper." Whatever that means. FML
Today, I was excited that my sister called me for the first time in months. She asked me to stop watching "Friends" so she could use the Netflix account. Now, I still have an absentee sister and no Friends. FML
Today, I realized how alone I truly was when I caught myself talking to a podcast. FML
Today, I went to see Star Wars with my brother. The entire time he talked about how scientifically inaccurate and improbable the entire movie was. FML
Today, my wife has locked herself in the bedroom crying because I said I didn't want to go to Disney for a vacation this year. We have been to Disney eight times in five years. Every vacation, it's Disney, Disney, Disney! I'm fucking sick of Disney! FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?
Thanks, your FML was submitted, and will appear in the moderation queue soon!

I use to be in a similar position years ago so I empathize with you, OP. Years ago, I use to be a pariah amongst most people around me. I was frequently antagonized, bullied, beaten and viewed as a complete loser by almost everyone in my environment. How I changed this around was by setting a new mindset that nothing was wrong with me, rather I'm just around the wrong crowd. Next, I modified my lifestyle to health and fitness. I eat right, exercise frequently and read information to grow more knowledgeable. Overtime, these modifications attracted the right type of people while removing the wrong people out my life gradually. I don't know if you can relate to being a pariah, but seeing this is an FML, it sounds like you want a social connection with individuals that care. Have a powerful mentality that you are attractive in your own right while you put yourself out there in social settings and you are bound to make consistent bonds. If you're current 'friends' aren't as consistent as you'd like them to be, perhaps it was never meant to be.

If TV characters are your "friends," you are psychotic. They don't know you and can have no feelings or opinions about you whatsoever. Seek help. Either professional or buy a lot of guns.
