Christ women can get so upset by the stupidest shit. Take something tiny like that and draw such outrageous conclusions from it. He didn't stop loving you, he didn't stop caring about your relationship, you're not unimportant to him, he forgot a !@#$ date.

Well at least he didn't for his choir? I am sorry it happened, but forgive him and accept that your husband (Like a lot of us) forget things. I am sure he was able to make it up to you later.
