Today, my older, pill-addicted brother, came over to visit with me. After he left, I realized all my Vicodin was gone. I got my wisdom teeth removed two hours ago. FML

Today, after getting my wisdom teeth pulled, I woke up from a much needed nap realizing I should take my pain medication. My mother then told me she had thrown them out so I wouldn't get addicted and become a drug dealer. FML
Today, I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted. Under anesthesia I told the dentist my entire love life and drug history in detail. FML
Today, I had my wisdom teeth pulled. The local anesthesia worked on three of the four teeth. I found out about the last tooth when the dentist was mid-yank. FML
Today, I came home from surgery to remove my tonsils. It's a much better surgery to have as a kid, because when you get older it's much more painful. I didn't know my mom liked pain killers. I do now, because I have none left and I haven't even taken any yet. FML
Today, I got my wisdom teeth removed and took the pain medicine that the oral surgeon prescribed for me before bed. The pain actually did go away for the most part, until my stomach decided to betray me and make me throw up, forcing my jaw to open more than it could after surgery. FML
Today, I got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I happen to be allergic to all types of pain medication. FML
Today, at work in a call center, I went into my locker to get my pain pills from a recent surgery. When I opened the bottle, half my pills spread all over the floor. My boss walked by and said, "I knew it!" FML
Today, my mother-in-law flushed my pain medicine because she believes I’ve been using it too long and I’m addicted. I had surgery four days ago. FML
Today, while I was drunk, my brother decided to use pliers to pull out my bad tooth. He grabbed the wrong tooth, and when it didn’t pop out cleanly he decided he just needed to squeeze harder, and crushed the healthy tooth into splinters. I can feel the nerve with my tongue, it’s agony. FML
Today, after having surgery, I called my family to tell them I was out, safe, and on my way home. The first thing they asked was if they could "borrow" some of my pain meds. FML

Remember that addiction Is a pathological thing. He probably came on purpose, knowing that OP would have strong pain meds in the house since they had had surgery.

if you file a police report, the Dr may be able to replace them. you should have locked them up, not sure what you were expecting. that's exactly why he came over

for future reference, if you know you have pills in the house, keep them on you or literally locked up if someone known to have an issue comes to visit. this is going to suck for you because you won't be able to get more.

Sucks to be you, but I would call the police, report him, and have him arrested. When one of my nephews was addicted to drugs, anytime he came over, we locked everything of value up and he wasn’t allowed to wander the house alone and not allowed to wear anything that had pockets.

If this is new to you, I imagine you did not realize he was capable of this. But I hope you realize now the truth is he came over at this time because pill addicts would be hyper-aware that you'd have drugs after surgery and planned to take them. Like others have said, keep your valuables locked up in the future. I'm sorry this happened to you.

You can get another round of painkillers if you talk to your dentist but they probably won't do shit without a police report.
