Fuzzy memory
Today, I realized that mixing alcohol with my medication causes me to lose my memory. I went to see my favorite band in concert last night and I can't remember a single song they played. FML

Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, after saving up my money for weeks, I went to see my favorite artist in concert with my friends. Two songs in, I passed out, hit my head, and had to have someone drive me home. FML
Today, I found out why my doctor told me not to mix pain killers with alcohol when I was told that last night I tried to convince a group of teenage tourists that I was one of the nitwits from One Direction, and then got miffed when they laughed at me. FML
Today, I went to a concert for the first time in 5 years. I got all dressed up and even ended up hanging out with the band. The night came to a screeching halt when I got a migraine and ended up in the ER vomiting non-stop. I was in the hospital all night. FML
Today, my bandmates showed up to our gig drunk. Our drummer kept losing the rhythm and the lead guitarist was more concerned about staying drunk than playing the right notes. In the middle of a song, they both gave up, put down their instruments, and kept sipping a beer, while at least cheering me on while I finished it. FML
Today, I went to see a doctor about some of the memory problems I've been having. After the appointment, I could barely remember a thing he told me. FML
Today, my roommates told me about all the stupid and embarrassing things I did last night, none of which I remember. Drunk out of my mind? No, I just tried a new sleeping pill after weeks of insomnia. I still barely slept. FML
Today, I was at a friend's birthday party in a packed karaoke bar/restaurant and I drunkenly agreed to sing. I picked a song I thought I knew by heart, only to realize halfway through that the lyrics on the screen were not at all what I thought they were. My brain went for a smoke break or something, and I turned into a rambling mess. The crowd actually booed. FML
Today, my band was playing its first serious gig. I was in the middle of a solo when a drunk guy tackled me, causing me to crash into the drums, breaking them and my guitar, hitting our drummer, knocking him out. FML
Today, my brain seemingly went on vacation and I forgot the lyrics to a song I was performing in front of a live audience, so I ended up ad-libbing a bunch of garbage. FML
Today, the water was shut off, so I had to wash down my anti convulsants, anti depressants and sleep aids with an old, flat, non-alcoholic beer from the night before. I don't think I've ever had a more mentally dysfunctional cocktail. FML

Well it's pretty obvious alcohol and medication don't mix! It probably said it on the information on the medications package. You fully deserve it

It was the night you'll never remember... Next time heed the warning on the label, it's not just a suggestion, next time something far more worse could've happened like I don't know DEATH, I guess stupidity really is contagious, looks like it's time for my shots because it spreads like wildfire.

What a shame because concerts can be extremely expensive but you should have known that mixing alcohol and meds would be a bad idea. Totally YDI

Which is why almost all medications aren't supposed to be mixed with alcohol. Let hope you nothing else happened.

It's early. And the last sentence of my comment made zero sense.
GoW_Chick 15
It makes sense is you just add an 's' to 'let' and take out the 'you', so it already made some sense and really wasn't that bad, so no worries. *Internet hug* :)

GoW_Chick, you forgot to stay to also close one eye, turn the sentence upside down and hip bump it from side to side, then jump on it 3 times. That's how I passed reading when I first learned English. It's a secret trick ;)

I was pouring my morning coffee as I was crafting up my witty little snack of a comment, or lack there of. I appreciate the empathy. :))

Hahahaha! So much love. Maybe next time I'll skip the meds. Yeah, I deserve it.
GoW_Chick 15
... or you could skip the booze, but that would be your choice my friend. :)

Or just not drink as much... I'm on painkillers and I still drink, but I now only have 1-3 drinks. Just be smart and don't drink like a lush.
osteobabe 13
I obviously don't know what type of painkillers you are being prescribed, but most aren't to be mixed with alcohol because the combination can induce liver failure.
CRC_101 31
I'm not sure why you are all assuming it's pain medication. If it's another type of medication, it can be even worse to mix with alcohol, depending on the med.
Squeaky_Tomato 14
@73 Most painkillers can cause liver damage when mixed with booze but that is a long term affect of constant heavy drinking not something that happens because of going out occasionally. I've asked my doctors about drinking while on them and they said "in moderation."
