Today, I started crying at work because I talked to a patient who lost his wife. They were together for 64 years, I can't even get a guy to look at me for 64 seconds. FML

My first FML ever published, thank you! I did have extreme empathy for the patient, I held his hand and told him how sorry I was. I had recently been divorced after leaving a 17 year marriage, to an alcoholic, only to be diagnosed with breast cancer a few months after. I don't think I'm unattractive, I just seem to get the wrong kind of attraction. Fast forward, I am now cancer free and maybe someday I'll find that special someone. Looking at someone for more than three seconds is creepy. If a guy stares at you for 64 continuous seconds, you should probably call the cops.

I know this will be very hard for you to believe, but have faith in the Universe and in the maxim "Every pot has a lid". You haven't found your partner yet, but you will. I'm real ugly, usually broke, no great talents to speak of, but I ended up with a real beauty: sweet, kind, darling, and thinks the world of me. Find someone who looks at you the way a dog looks at your cheeseburger, I believe in you!

I used to paralegal for a probate/estate administration attorney. There was one client that got to me and after speaking with him I had to take a break because I needed to cry. So, I can relate.
