Don't laugh

Today, a customer at work pronounced the word "Asian" as "Ah-See-Awn" when ordering a salad. I wasn't allowed to say anything. FML

Better to leave it rather than to start crap and lose your job. Someone else will eventually deal with him

There's always going to be ignorant people out there. Blow it off and enjoy the rest of your day.

That sounds more like an F their life. I wonder how they will take it when someone finally does tell them.

Well I don't know, at least if that was a foreign person I could see it happen? I don't know why anyone would pronounce things in a wrong way on purpose anyway

At least he didn't sound out every word longer than 4 letters...

I've always just corrected people very subtly. like at the end of the order, "alright I've got one Asian salad, can I get you anything else tonight?"

What world do we live in where you get in trouble for correcting someone's mistake?

In some Spanish speaking countries it is pronounced like that, maybe they weren't perfect on their English.

FYI Asia is pronounced Aah-see-aah in many central Asian languages. ey-zhaah is the American pronounciation. Now who's right and who's not?

Some people over think things. Maybe it was a fancy resturaunt and he thought it was a fancy new salad with a fancy name. Or, stupid.

OP put it as PaneraSucks so it's safe to say its at a Panera.
