Blood is thicker than a dollar bill
Today, I woke up and wished I hadn’t. I’m broke, tired, hungry and sick of my family, who is rich by the way, not even contributing a penny to help me from being evicted. Oh, and I lost my job last week. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I woke up, like every other day, with no girlfriend, no family, no friends, and having to go to my second job. I haven't gotten a day off in months and somehow barely can afford rent. I spend within my means and budget appropriately, but there's always some shit. FML
Today, I woke up with severe back pain and about $100 missing from my paycheck. FML
Today, my life finally seemed to be getting on track after recovering from major depression, paying off most of my debt, and scoring an amazing job. And then I woke up. FML
Today, I found out I'm "no longer under consideration" for all 8 of the jobs I recently applied for. I'm broke and stuck living with my ex, who's got a new boyfriend. I hate my life and myself, wish I was dead every day, and am stuck in retail hell for the foreseeable future. I barely eat and exist only to work and sleep. FML
Today, I woke up feeling out of step with life. Work owes me money for 6 months-worth of projects I did. I collected loans to take care of my sick dad and manage myself, and now my bosses are refusing to pay what they owe, so my account balance is blank. FML
Today, I’m so broken and poor that I look forward towards my one free meal in my shelter just so I can have a conversation with people and act like I’m happy, and see another smile. I wish I could have more. FML
Today, I'm so broke that I had to call in sick to work because I couldn't afford to pay my bus fare. FML
Today, I spent my remaining cash on a doctor's visit, only to find out that at the age of 22, I'm getting major health problems brought on by stress. I came home to relax, only to find out my roommate can't pay his rent, and needs me to cover for him so we don't get evicted. FML
Today, my tiny apartment flooded. My family lives out of state and the few friends I have all gave me B.S. excuses for why I can't stay over for a few nights. I'm so broke this month that I'll probably have to hit up my psycho ex. FML
Today, I have to choose between getting a new job and losing my health insurance as a result, or staying unemployed and being evicted. Did I mention that I am unemployed due to severely breaking my leg with no legal recourse? FML

It may very well be that they aren't paying your bills because they love you and want you to learn to be more responsible, keep a job, and save money. They don't owe you anything. You can overcome this problem on your own. Don't give up! You'll come out a stronger, wiser, and more responsible person for it.

You're still alive so you're still tough enough to make a change. Don't give up! Sometimes things get worse before they get better!

No, her parents sound toxic as hell if they won't help her out from getting evicted. "They don't owe you anything?" They're her *parents.*

Your parents don't owe you a damn thing once you're "grown". If you feel like they do then you aren't grown. Nobody is responsible for you but yourself when you're a grownup.

Until we know the background it’s hard to judge, maybe they’ve helped out plenty of times before and are sick of it, maybe every time they help the money is wasted on other stuff, how do you know they owe her anything? Just because they gave birth to you doesn’t make them obligated to bail you out as an adult

If you've only been jobless for ONE week and are already facing eviction, maybe the problem is that YOU are not responsible/mature enough to hold down a job and/or prioritize your rent/bills over frivolous spending.

Your parents not contributing is a sign that they want you to stand on your own. My kids complained once that I bought the dogs McDonald's and not them. They're all in their 20's.
