Bad omen
Today, my girlfriend, who recently moved in with me, has opted to sleep on the couch rather than in the same bed as me. She claims it’s because "her body" won’t let her fall asleep unless she’s alone. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I have to sleep in another room, with the door closed, because if I don't, my girlfriend's snoring will keep me awake. I was diagnosed with chronic insomnia because of this. FML
Today, I found out why my girlfriend of 8 months has never agreed to stay the night before. Now I have a 4-month old mattress that needs replacing, and a 23-year-old bedwetter for a girlfriend. FML
Today, after my girlfriend had a nightmare this morning, I stayed home because she has really bad anxiety issues. A couple of hours later, she's pissed because I said I would stay up, but I fell asleep. FML
Today, my girlfriend came over to my place, looking drop dead gorgeous. However, she preferred the idea of sleeping, and here I am on my laptop. FML
Today, my boyfriend’s bed is so uncomfortable that even after six months of not seeing him, I’m sleeping on the floor so I can actually get some sleep. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me for a familiar reason; I apparently have night terrors that make me "Impossible to sleep in the same room with." I don't ever remember these dreams. Every other girlfriend I've had has ended up breaking things off with me for the same reason. FML
Today, my girlfriend snores like a lumberjack. Even when I leave to sleep on the couch, I can still hear her through the door. She won’t go to the doctor because, "snoring runs in her family and they’re all just fine." Yeah, uh huh. FML
Today, my girlfriend and I took a nap on my couch. She used my arm as a pillow, and everything was pretty peaceful, until she moved over and practically dislocated my shoulder. My screams of pain woke her, which was apparently an "asshole move" on my part. FML
Today, my girlfriend and I went to see a horror movie. It ended up scaring her so badly that she refused to leave our bed all night long, even to pee. I have to clean the mattress now. FML
Today, my wife kicked me out of my own bed to go and sleep on the sofa because the dog was whining, and would only stop if she was allowed to sleep on my side of the bed. My wife would rather sleep with the dog than me. FML

It sucks, but some people really do have trouble falling asleep around others, and then there's also really light sleepers that struggle to stay asleep in the same room as someone else. I've slept in a different room to my husband of 9 years for a long while now, and we both sleep so much better this way. It doesn't mean I love him any less.

I have that issue sometimes. When I have to get up for work in the morning and I'm trying to fall asleep but they're snoring or won't let go of me (arms wrapped around me and I can't move) I find it hard to fall asleep. And I'd rather just sleep on the couch than with him. Some people sleep a little more snuggled than others. Some hate to feel restricted. She didn't do anything wrong by wanting to sleep on the couch. You are probably doing something that's keeping her awake. She could have opted to move back home. Then you'd be even more upset. She still chose to stay at your place, so be happy you have a girlfriend who likes you enough to be with you and to sleep on your couch rather than have her own bed.

I know half the time if my ex was in the bed with me I'd get hella broken sleep and stay locked up in one position all night. I'd be miserable and sore in the morning but once they went home I'd have great sleep

It could very well be true. I've gotten to the point where it's hard to sleep in the same bed as my husband because I tend to sprawl out when I sleep, and having someone breathing next to me can keep me awake. It can also make it too hot in the room. There are a lot of reasons some couples don't sleep in the same bed together, but it doesn't mean they don't love each other.

it sucks, but honestly I can't have my wife touch me in bed. I can't get comfortable with her even barely touching my arm. so I do understand where she is coming from
