Today, my mother broke into my emails and rejected the best job offer I’ve ever had, all because the job is on the other side of the country, and she’s a selfish bitch who doesn't want to be left completely alone, since she has no friends and our relatives don’t speak to her anymore. FML

Today, my mom yelled at me for taking too long at a job interview, and that it was a waste of her time to drive me to it. I just quit my job, moved away from my boyfriend and the coast to help take care of her in Idaho. FML
Today, my mother won't let me intern at a prestigious college, working with graduate students and professors, and being paid, because she doesn't want to drive me. FML
Today, and for the past 3 years since I first started looking for work, my mother has once again cussed me out and called me "ungrateful" because I tried to get a job. She won't let me get my ID, and she will only apply to jobs around our tiny town that she "feels like doing." We're about to lose our home. FML
Today, as usual, I'm stuck working in a brutally hostile work environment under my mother-in-law, who's never forgiven me for marrying her daughter. I only got the job because of family politics. Four months on, I still can't even land so much as a single interview elsewhere. FML
Today, I lost my job because my mom and stepdad forced me to go on our family vacation, even though my time off got rejected. FML
Today, my mother went out of her way to, over completely trivial bullshit, wake me up early on the only two days of the week I don’t have to wake up at 4:30AM, drive an hour both ways, and work my fingers to the bone for twelve hours straight. This is why I’m so soul-shreddingly desperate to move out. FML
Today, my mom told me that she doesn't want me to help any of my friends get a job at the restaurant I work at. Apparently, she thinks that they would do a better job than me and get me fired. FML
Today, my mother is upset that I won’t share things with her anymore. This is the woman who spent my entire childhood gossiping about every teeny tiny detail of my life, and used my suicide attempt as a way to garner pity for herself. Yeah, no thanks. FML
Today, my mother yet again chose to put my brother's junkie of an ex-girlfriend's needs and happiness above mine, despite the fact that she's stolen thousands of dollars and anything else of value from my mom's house. FML
Today, I found out that my mother has been purposely wrecking every relationship I've had since junior high because ''no one is good enough for her little girl''. FML

(1) Change all passwords do not let Mom know any of them. Do not use something she will guess like your birthday or middle name or a variation on your previous password. Do not access them in front of Mom. One good one that you can remember is better than a bunch of different passwords you have to write down. (2) Call the company and explain that Mom has dementia (she has her lucid days and her bad days), and is going to be institutionalized and did not represent your feelings. Hiring an employee who has a mom with dementia is more likely to pass the smell test than one who is controlled by a possessive Mom from hell. (3) Get the hell out of there and don’t look back. It is utterly unacceptable for Mom to sabotage your career just so she has one last person to cling to. Pay no attention to her attempts to emotionally blackmail you. If she has her way she’s going to prevent your career and will likely chase off anyone you love. She deserves the hell she has made for herself by driving off everyone else who would be close to her. It’s lifeboat ethics - You have to save yourself while you can be saved. “Mommy Dearest” may be past saving.

Totally agree, and I'd add to use two steps authentication whenever possible, so even if she managed to guess a password, she'd have to get a text/email or even better input a code that you can only get from an app like Authy.

1 why's your mom have your password 2 anyone would be afraid of being completely alone. despite how she acts she likely feels her loneliness and it's an extremely unpleasant feeling. fyl for sure but if you can find it in yourself I recommend getting your mom some help, in the long run you'll both be better off.
