Advice wanted
Today, I feel underappreciated and unloved by my husband. I've tried to bring it up and show him my appreciation, but he responds with, "Well you haven't shown me appreciation or respect once in our relationship. If you feel that way that's on you." What do I do other than divorce? FML

Well, this might seem a little bit out of left field but you could try showing him some appreciation and respect. If you did that honestly I suspect he'd come to appreciate you a lot more.

without specifics it's hard to say anything, but you both feel unloved and unappreciated by the other, and that's not good. You should discuss your feelings with each other, and both try to be as receptive and considerate as possible, and as you want the other to be with you. Maybe also get the ball rolling and talk about what you do respect and appreciate about each other. If that doesn't help, take some time apart to reflect on and consider how you feel about each other, and whether you're better off staying or going. Only you know enough to make that call. Don't leave it up to strangers on the internet.

If you had never shown it during the relationship then why did he marry you? I call bulls**t. If you cannot fix what is broken because he refuses to try then divorce is the only way. No point staying together if it's a one-sided fix as the other won't try. Life is too short.
