Today, my boyfriend took me to his grandfather's funeral. At the reception, his family members insist on hearing me play piano. After getting positive reactions, I dive into one of my favorites, Rustle of Spring. In 2 seconds everyone bursts into tears. That was Papa's favorite too. FML

If I was his family, I probably would have been touched. So don't feel too bad!

Don't feel bad, I'm sure they will appreciate it a little later. It's okay.

This needs to be removed from this site. How did this even get approved to be posted? It's not an FML. Just someone bragging about how their piano playing moved people to tears.

I think thats nice it was like a tribute to the grandfather, I'm sure he was smiling down knowing his favorite song was being played for him. Everyone would just be touched because it would remind them of the grandfather.

dont be sad. just think that everybody thought u played that song for his grandfather

I could see why at the moment it was happening it would feel like an FML. At first she probably had no clue why everyone was crying at first, and probably didn't find out until later! It also would have been different if she knew it was his favorite and did it expecting everyone to get emotional, but she had no clue!!

that's not an FML, its sweet to play his favorite song! they're crying because they remember him, don't be embarrassed.

As long as you played it well, it wouldn't be a bad thing :)

This isn't an FML. It seems lucky really...you gave them another little something to remember him by.

This is the opposite of an FML. It sounds like it was a really good moment, touching in a way.
