Im confused ... I know this is from a while ago, but what has the Iraq war done except put that country back into secretarian downslide, and what is Afghanistan even to do with us? (Us being NATO) As far as I'm aware it was Russia that got us into it in the first place - now it's developed into an international human crisis with the Taliban and shiz - and of course there are more wars going on in the world but none here (UK), none in America, none in Europe ... so what business is it of ours? And furthermore why are we dying and killing for it? I don't know the whole situation, obviously, but to me it just seems a bit off. People who criticise the army are "Un-American"... sorry, are you joking? You might want to pick up a Michael Moore pretty soon. Like, now soon. You will be boggled, unless you are thick (in which case, you will dismiss it as a load of communist toss and get on with raving against "liberals" - or, people who aren't blinded by prejudices.) I do apologise. As an Englishwoman, of course I am not privy to the vast amount of devil-worship, incest, rape, torture and general nasties that go on in the houses of liberals in the States. And if I'm wrong, maybe start proving it? Mate, you're a fool but it's understandable you let something slip, and in front of little brothers thats bad. I'm sure your parents will get over it :) But the fact ur a soldier doesnt make you immune from criticism from people for whom cursing IS a big deal. Rant over, off for a cuppa.
