Sorry to hear that. It makes me wonder how humans survived in the days when fireplaces were the only way to get through the winter. Maybe humans' lung diseases were much more prevalent then.
In those times, there was actually fire management of the forests made by Natives. They burned small lots of land so they wouldn't have to suffer through big wildfires. Plus, the weather was colder, there was more trees, and industries had not polluted the air too much yet.

I live in the Midwest and have no idea what you are talking about. I see no smoke. I don't smell anything either. what we have been getting I'd more rain in 1 month then my state has ever got. I guess it's a record.
