Say "no thank you" in another language, or anything in another language. I go for "no thank you" in Gaelic and people leave me alone after that as they assume I'm foreign, and there's not many gaelic speakers in Scotland, so I've never had any trouble!

I always just say that I've already made my donations for this year. I rarely have money to donate to anything... but when I do it is to the spca and water.org. Those are the only charities I want to donate to.
