Today, I asked my mother-in-law to watch after my baby daughter. When I returned home, my baby's ears were pierced. FML

I would probably flip my shit. She had no right to do that to your child, especially without you or your husbands permission!

I don't understand why people want to force metal through a child's ears. Let them decided if they want to do that when they're older.

If your husband is aything like mine mommy did any nothing wrong. And if you take them out you will be thought of as a childish bitch.. Yes you can call the police and possibly get assult charges. You will become the bad guy but she would think twice about doing anything like this If you do. Me? I will just take them out and let them heal up.

Piercing a baby's ears is stupid, in my opinion. I would be pissed. She's a baby, for crying out loud.

MIL would no longer be left alone with her granddaughter if that happened to either of my girls. Supervised visits only. Same if my own mother did it

One thing i learned from this app, don't trust your mother-in-law with anything. ANYTHING

Don't let her ever babysit again. Especially don't let her babysit any uncircumcised baby boys you may have, holy shit. That woman has NO idea of boundaries.

Listen I don't have a good connection with my mother so If I were you I'd ******* slap her

What the actual FK?!? Wha . . . I've nothing to say. Other than the obvious, "keep her the h* away from your kid".

This is more gear toward the comments related piercing to cercumcision. That's a different story then piercing, as it's a religious or health factor, as parents may worry about snags tears or infections that may happen to the skin, however that decision to do that should still be left up to the parents like piercing. Meanwhile piercing should be left up to the child and parents BOTH. One is a religious or health matter for only the parents and only at a certain age really, while the other is a fashion matter for both parents and the child.
