wow i know how u feel. im 17 my curfew is 11 and god forbid im late they freak the **** out. which is y im destroying there rules when i turn 18 u should try it :D

For those of you who apparently are unaware, the shit has kinda hit the fan, and people living with their parents at 18 is becoming more and more common simply because money issues have become such a big deal that, for some, it's unreasonable to expect them to be capable of moving out at 18. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not impossible, and I intend on getting out as soon as I can (not just the house, but the friggin' state) but still, it's not completely absurb for people to live with their 'rents at 18.

I'd say man up. Your 18 and an adult now, and although still living in your parents house, and needing to follow their rules, you need to talk to them about changing the rules. Sit them down, talk rationally, explain the situation and go from there, get feedback on what they want from you and express what you want aswell, otherwise the situation will never improve. I think they need to see you talk to them responsibly, with honest concern, and not any kind of emotional tempertantrum. If that doesn't work, maybe you need to show a little defiance, I mean being grounded at 18? For 3 weeks? Thats rediculous, and I wouldn't expect that of anyone near your age. If all else fails, join the military, you get away from home, you get paid for it, you have a place to stay and money to do with what you want.
