many companies have policies forgiving interoffice relationships. if the company has such a policy in the handbook it could result in being transferred or depending on how the policy is written and if there is some form of evidence it could result in termination. however since op hasn't slept with anyone, let alone a coworker, no such evidence would exist. I'm wondering if the coworker is having an affair with a woman with the same first name and in an attempt to cover it up said he was texting or calling his coworker. then if the wife was able to read or hear the correspondence that was suppose to be with a coworker and discovered it was clearly of a sexual nature and assumed he was actually having an affair with the coworker.
