Haha, I've been in that position before...Not necessarily a large group of friends but a couple people. Usually it isn't your fault, you just happen to share different views, do different things, and probably brush off people's jokes instead of responding with something more insulting (pretty much me in the groups of friends I'm thinking about). People like conformity so they get together and bash the odd man out. Typically it's best to distance yourself from these people over time because one of these types ended up insulting me personally, on a few different occasions. Haven't talked to him in about 3-4 months and wouldn't really care to either..I'd say you should go tell your "friends" to **** themselves and find people worth your time that feel you're worth theirs too.
Well said.
haha, that's kinda funny. It's not all your fault though.. there always has to be that one person that entertains people by being really dumb or by being just a really easy target to make fun of. At least they told you, though.. so you know to go get yourself some real friends
That really sucks. Being dumped by someone that you thought had your back--in your case for 12 years--really hurts. At least you know who your real friends are. I'm sorry though :/
you left a nice comment, helpful im sure :)
Ouch. :-( I've been that person and every time I thought that (and straight-out-asked) they said 'no', that I was being paranoid and then I ended up 'kissing ass' because I offended them by asking. Looking back, it wasn't paranoia - it was intuition. I really hate to say it, becaues it sucks to waste over a decade thinking you've got a core group, but maybe you're more of a one-on-one person than a group person. Please, find hobbies that you like - solitary hobbies - and get yourself addicted to them. You can socialize through them by joining book clubs or other small groups. You don't have to 'go hang out' with any of those people - but at least you'll have things in common. I'm so sorry, it sucks to be told you don't fit in but you're just not a group person.
that sucks! get some better friends, or get revenge on your current friends somehow. put maggots in their hair or something.
You know what I'm sure youre a good person and they dont deserve you. I've been that person but I would alaways hear them making fun of me with my friends for the past 5 years, and they still do. You're amazing I'm sure so I don't care what they say cause everyone is amazing including you.
I totally know how you feel, I've been that person quite a few times before. Life sucks.

Aww, it's alright, I'm also that person. Honestly, who wants friends and all their drama :) And shall I say "first" to annoy people?
Ugh. I've been that person before, and it sucks. FYL.
