Today, cops showed up at my apartment demanding to look inside. Satisfied with the search, they told me they had received a noise complaint. More specifically, hearing screams someone believed a girl was getting raped. I had two friends over and we had been wrestling. The three of us are male. FML

I don't think you were just wrestling...

Well, at least they knew that there wasn't a girl involved...

Uh-huh...I've heard that before... ;-) Wrestling....good cover-up.

uhh #9, you should never be a cop. ever. probable cause for sex offenses such as a noise complaint of "screaming" allows police the right to confirm that no one is, in fact, in danger. as for the fact that they were screaming, i've watched wrestling matches when i was in high school, and i've watched hardcore ****. guess which one contained more screaming...

i cant even imagine the noises you were making with your two male friends.. disturbing.

how does this have more people agreeing than saying ydi? lol

wrestling??....really..is that what they call it now a days??

One of you three should try to get a girlfriend, then you wouldn't be wasting the police officers time with your wrestling. YDI

#95, you said "They do not say 'Let me into your house now or else.'" However, the OP said the cops demanded to look inside. In fact, the OP never said he allowed them to enter. For all we know, they could have forced their way in, they could have intimidated him, or he could have let them in for fear that he would instantly become a suspect or be arrested if he did not. None of those are acceptable, in my opinion. I really hope none of those happened, and he just let them in to be helpful. Anyway, thanks Zizzle for explaining what I've been trying to say a little better. Sorry for coming off so hostile, I just firmly believe an individual should always know why they're being searched or arrested. I don't think a person should impede a search for a murderer or rapist or anything - that's just ornery and stupid. But if the sole complaint was directed at the individual, and the individual knew he did nothing wrong, he has no reason to allow a search. We have civil rights, and as long as we're not helping a criminal escape by denying a search, we should stand up for our rights.

Haha maybe you should consider that you and your friends might be gay?
