Poor squirrel, getting hit by the other car even after you gave it a chance to live :(
did you get a ticket? because stopping for an animal when it could cause an accident is illegal...
Hate to say this but this is a YDI Moment. rule number 1 in basic drivers Ed.... always hit the smaller animals.... because this is always what happens..., you have a heart n ik it's a cute animal... but one small creature that's overpopulating compared to the what maybe300+ dollars it costs for a crash...? think bout it
I'm not going to say ydi but your life isn't ****** either that's why the have auto insurance. Even though I'm a guy I would have tried to avoid hitting the squirrel too. I'm not sure where you stand legally but usually if you're rear-ended it's the other person's fault for following to close no matter why you slammed on your brakes.
27 it was a movie dipshit
the good news is, YOU GET TO SUE!
actually if the car behind you has on car space in between you it should have enough time to stop. for instants what if a little kid ran in front of you, you stop and if that person behind you hits you that there fault.

Hmmm... that's why you don't "slam on your brakes" for small rodents:(
You're supposed to keep driving unless it's a animal that can cause an accident, like a deer. Otherwise, surprise surprise, the abruptent stop can cause an even bigger accident than hitting a squirrel. I'm 16 and I know this.
