cant belive that you put others at risk like that for a squirrel. in sweden it's forbidden to stand on the breaks for anything smaller than a roe deer.
Don't endanger *HUMANS* by taking evasive action to avoid a small animal in the road. A good--if gross--guideline is that if it's small enough to eat in one sitting, just run it over. "It was the other guy's fault" makes a bad epitaph.

You're supposed to keep driving unless it's a animal that can cause an accident, like a deer. Otherwise, surprise surprise, the abruptent stop can cause an even bigger accident than hitting a squirrel. I'm 16 and I know this.
