NEVER slam the breaks for an animal! Especially not a squirrel!
poor squirrel...
YDI for valuing an animal life over human life. Once saw a car do that on a highway for a rabbit. The rabbit got away, the car that slammed on it's brakes was fine, the family in the car behind were all killed when they were forced to slam on their brakes and were crushed by the truck behind them.
giving this a thumbs up seems very inappropriate. poor people
YDI for worrying about a squirrel rather than your driving moron!
Why did the squirrel cross the road? Oh wait, this is not the jokes forum? Oh well... BECAUSE IT WAS NUTS!
According to the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles You are NOT SUPPOSED TO BRAKE for a squirrel When I took my driving test a squirrel DID run out into the road and I did NOT brake I didn't lose points and I was told that most people did brake and did lose points
You're being a dick and you're NOT good at it. Stop acting like a 12 year old and leave such behavior to the professionals.
YDI for not checking the mirror before you braked; if you had seen that the car behind you couldn't stop in time, you should have kept driving. FYL for seeing the squirrel die anyway. :(

Hmmm... that's why you don't "slam on your brakes" for small rodents:(
You're supposed to keep driving unless it's a animal that can cause an accident, like a deer. Otherwise, surprise surprise, the abruptent stop can cause an even bigger accident than hitting a squirrel. I'm 16 and I know this.
