Today, I ignored my cat's incessant meowing, and pushed him away every time he wanted to be petted. The next time I walked downstairs I found him dead. FML

Today, my overly-attached 14-year-old cat wanted attention while I was in a heated Skype argument with my girlfriend. Worked up from the fight, I raised my voice and said, "Not now, go away!" He ran to his little bed, had a heart attack and died. I was a complete dick to my cat in his last moments. FML

Today, despite me not liking cats, which my wife knew, she got a cat anyway. Her cat went for a walk outside and was hit by a car. I rushed outside to help the cat but found she was already dead, and the culprit had driven away. When my wife found out that her cat was dead, she thought I'd killed her. FML

Today, my cat was incessantly meowing trying to get me to wake up and feed him. Because it was 6 a.m., and I'd hardly slept at all last night, my brain decided that the best solution to get him to shut up would be to hug him. The result was a normally docile and lazy cat giving me a nasty scratch next to my left eye. FML

Today, I was woken up by my cat, who normally doesn't bother me in the morning, meowing desperately and trying to get me to wake up. Fearing that something was very wrong, I jumped out of bed. He gestured for me to follow him, so I did. I followed him all the way to the kitchen, where he proceeded to puke. FML

And what are you going to say? "Hi, I'm calling about some woman that I seen on the website www.fmylife.com, I don't know where she lives or anything really, I just like to shoot off at the mouth, or keyboard actually - bur this horrible woman had to work and couldn't watch and pet her cat every second of every day, so the cat died. Arrest the cruel woman who has a life!" Um no girl, grow up.

whether she petted it or not, the cat would have died.. but whenever my cats come in the room and meow, i give them a few strokes and continue what im doing, i would never push my cat away! this fml makes me sad to think people just push cats away :/
