Ashes are useless anyways.
Interuptive Cow--Lmfao OP-- How could your 5 year old open what ever container the ashes were in, was it a ZipLock bag?
I can't believe how many people are saying its bad parenting to have the older child babysit... I took a babysitting course and was being paid to watch many different family's kids when I was 12. I was baby sitting a 7 and 4 year old most days after school, and I did a damn good job. Not all "kids" are idiots, you know.
If this truly happened you should know that when we, humans, are cremated our ashes become toxic so if I were you I would bring your child to the emergency room.
What are you an idiot?! Never leave your kids at home without a babysitter. First of all, the 5-year-old doesnt know any better and second, the 12-year-old kid won't really watch the 5 year old. So YDI for leaving your kids without a babysitter, with an urn full of your grandfather's ashes within reach.
That's disgusting..... I would not have left a 12 year old to watch a 5 year old.... also keep your grandfather's ashes in a safe place, AWAY from a five year old's reach, it shouldnt be that hard
im really sorry for your loss but next time dont leave your 12 yr to watch your 5 yr old
and your surprised? People wonder whats wrong with the younger generation. it's because air heads like you raise them. For christ sake watch your goddamn kids your lucky their alive.
I have to quote George Carlin on this one: "kids are imbeciles". FYL.

Common sense should have been used here: Keep out of reach of children.
That is so awful. Why the hell did you leave something that important where your five-year-old could get at it?? Why was she not informed that this was an absolutely hands-off item? Why was she beaming? There is so much wrong with this. Your poor, poor grandmother. :(
