Today, it was the girl of my dreams' birthday. She already knows I am totally in love with her. So for her birthday I decided to buy her a $60 dollar bottle of rum for her and her friends to have fun with. She picked it up from my house with her new boyfriend waiting in the car. FML

OP YDI and FYL. You're a pushover, you should not have given it to her. Tell her to go **** herself in a smooth way. When giving her the bottle just drop it and let it shatter then look at her in a way she knows what you're thinking, say nothing and walk away and close the door. (That's what I would have done, of course though I don't let things get here) Now FYL because you have to forget about her.

It sucks that you're "in love" with someone who isn't in love with you, but YDI for throwing money away on a girl thinking u can win her affection like that. She's a bitch for accepting ur gifts, bc all u r to her is a little puppy who will come when called, and u need to accept that and get over her. Find someone who will appreciate u and stop trying to buy affection
