Bad omen

By CastAway - 24/05/2009 00:16 - United States

Today, my girlfriend and I went down to the pier. I brought an empty bottle and some paper, and we both constructed a massive letter expressing our passionate love for each other. We stuck it in the bottle, and threw it out to sea, only to see it explode in slow motion on a protruding rock. FML

aww that sounds oh so sweet :) i know i keep saying this but FML isn't just a site for those that go through traumatizing experiences; rather its for amusing/sad/random stories to be shared

lmfao!!! Might be a sign of impending doom.

#3, **** you. I think the whole bottle thing is really cute. Not many guys are into that kind of stuff.

@ 23: no not a freak I like the idea very much and @ OP: this is one of the most romantic ideas ever don't take it as an omen just as a bit of bad luck and maybe the wind caught it lol make your own fate I'm sure you two are wonderful together and good luck

Funny because this is so cheesy, corny, and sounds like the idea of a tool that it's like the God of Stopping All Things a Tool Would Do finally smited a bastard that deserved it. I know "It's romantic!" from all the girls but still a pretty douchey idea (and I know it had to be the guy's idea) and only understandable (but not excusable) if he's like 15 or 16. Don't get me wrong I'm a romantic and sentimental but this is something straight out of [enter stupid, cheesy high school drama show i.e. Dawson's Creek]. Either way I laughed my ass off and YDI for being a tool And to the littering crowd... SHUT UP!!

today, i spent my 213th day on a desert island. I saw a message in a bottle and was so excited, thinking it might help me, but it was a love letter. from 2 people. to each other. FML.

oh god that's hilarious. XDDDDDDD #169 I AGREE. #170, because it's foreshadowing how all their ~heartfelt feelings~ or whatever are going to end up.

It was the thought that matters.
