Today, my dad didn't mention he had just aired up the tire on my van and that it might have a hole in it. It wasn't flat when I left the house but it sure as hell was when it exploded, not even a mile down the road. FML

That's unfortunate, but it could have been worse. Believe me, it's not fun blowing out your tire on the freeway.

FYL OP. I hope that you're not hurt and that the only resulting damage was to the tire and not to yourself or the others around you. More communication between you and your dad would be advised. Edit: After a re-read, it was clear the miscommunication was not your fault.

OP's Dad overinflated the tire to compensate for the possible puncture in the tire.(Hole) But if the tire popped down the road, it means that tire was very worn already.

So lame when you press you deserve it button on accident and can't undo it. Sorry, OP, fyl
