Part of performing in any event is being present for setup and scheduling. I find it strange that you were not contacted if you were on draft schedules made before the finalized one, but aside from that this is a full on YDI. You made a mistake, learn from it and start looking for another show to participate in.
You must have not wanted it bad enough
Seems strange to me that something so crucial would just "slip your mind". If you really worked so hard on it I feel you should have at least thought about it more than enough to miss an important meeting like that! I'm sorry you missed your chance OP, might wanna invest in a planner though!
Sorry to hear that OP, but this is definitely a YDI. In the future, you should probably have several reminders for meetings like this set when you first learn of them, don't just rely on memory alone.

It seems a bit dumb to word this like it's ridiculous you were left out. You missed an important meeting, I believe it's pretty common for that to mean you are out of what they planned. It sucks, but it's what happens.
Had to read the comments to figure out that the meeting was related to the performance. I thought the meeting was for something else. Like you missed a business meeting to perform in a show. My bad
