YDI for drunk driving
(0)#57: I love how you played the "Think of what we've done for you" card to justify the OP's mother stealing her car. It's not just the fact that she sold it for her own gain, it's the fact that she STOLE it to sell it for her own gain. And how do you know she's not still in High school? Are you saying High schoolers can't work on cars? That's weird, considering they have machine shop classes...and then there's my friend Jacob who's working on his car to "earn it" when he's 15.
(I swear to God someone does some "Team Jacob" bullshit Ima smack a bitch)
#72 - On 12/29/2009 at 1:03am by Reyo
(0)Saying your friend is called Jacob, is 15 and likes mechanics is nigh begging for it, #72.
But I digress. Is it not actually a very old Yo Mamma's joke what OP is really talking about?
(0)Potentially, the mother has been nagging for years to get rid of the hunk of junk and butter_cup has never really looked after it. Maybe the mother has set deadlines and threatened to get rid of it if butter_cup didn't - we don't know.
(0)lame i saw this shit on yo momma
(0)Why do people allow their parents to do such stupid things? Limits, boundaries and threats are the three key words to raising parents...... and children....... and friends....... and strangers
(0)^I sadly lol'ed

is she blonde
(+1)"Your momma so stupid that she sold the car for gas money."
Literally... Just not her own car, of course ^_^
(+1)Are you blonde?
(-2)Are none of you capable of spelling and grammar? And yes, OP, that is horrible. Sorry about the grammar thing.
In response to your issue, maybe try buying it back, depending on to whom it was sold?
(+1)Fake, unless you are dumb enough to not sign the pink slip. If that's the case, YDI big time.
(+1)In many states, minors cannot own vehicles. To me it sounds as if the OP were a minor and working on a car to get it running.
Oh yeah, OP - FYL.

YDI for taking so long to work on the car. In the time it took me to write this comment, I built three cars from scratch.
(+3)Dumbest comment ever.
(-1)I concur. You are absolutely right. I will change my ways, and stop posting useless, irrelevant garbage. Tomorrow.
(0)You could just go off yourself. Would be doing the world a favor.
#21 - On 12/28/2009 at 8:54pm by vdek
(0)I could, but I'm feeling a little lazy today. Maybe next week, if my schedule is clear.
(+1)Somehow, the people telling Yarrachel off piss me off more than Yarrachel himself.
(0)Herself, thanks.
(0)I actually found the original comment rather witty and entertaining. (:
(0)my bad Yarrachel
(-2) omg she must be poor
(+1)Reminds me of something that happened to my boyfriend, only she sold two of his project cars (same make & model for switching parts) because he told her to in a dream. And that reminded me to submit that as a FML. :P
(0)Listen to the voices in your head OP. MMUURDDEMMUURDERMMURDER
(+1)I read this comment as Scar to Simba.
(-2)I highly doubt this is real.
First off, that would be auto theft.
Second of all, the papers are probably not under her name.
This is obviously not real.
(+2)Why do you automatically assume it was his car?
He never said it was actually his car, or that he paid for it.
Situation A: His mum bought a car, asked him to fix it up for her, and he's spent loads of time on it. If that were me, I'd be pissed off after wasting a lot of time.
Situation B: It was bought by her, as a gift for him.
(0)Actually if OP is under 18 the car is technically the parents anyways, so its not auto theft. A bitch move though. FYL OP
(+1)My dad did the same thing to my brother. He bought a car when he was 16 & intended to have my dad help him work on it. Then my dad sold it by forging his signature. Had no reason for doing it, either! It was waaay messed up.
I wouldn't say he deserved it. Maybe the OP worked on it bit by bit because he couldn't afford much. If I were him, I'd punch his mom in the face.
(-2) you were just working on it right? it wasn't your actual car then? consider yourself lucky.
(+2)I'd say there would be some poetic justice if you were to siphon her gas.
(0)Damn dude... that sucks! Play a round on midway or 2 kick the living heck out of a hacker for me!
(0)isnt that a yo momma joke?
(0)Unless you were converting a Delorean into a time machine, a "few years" is way to long to be working on a car.
#26 - On 12/28/2009 at 9:20pm by EMR
(+1)Not necessarily. If they had to buy all of the parts themselves, that in itself could take awhile. Plus, if they have a life, they may not work on it for hours every day.
(+1)If the car is in your name, the sale wasn't legal to begin with and getting the car back shouldn't be too difficult. If the car isn't in your name, you're out of luck.
(0)awww
(+1)@#8 omg, YDI ??? you think he deserved it?? are you out of your f**** mind??!!!!
(-2)No, I'm not out of my mind at all. In fact, I am all there, balanced, both oars in water, commonsensical, compos mentis, discerning, fair-minded, fit, having all marbles, healthy, in one's right mind, intelligent, judicious, levelheaded, logical, lucid, moderate, normal, of sound mind, oriented, playing with full deck, prudent, rational, right, right-minded, sagacious, sage, sapient, self-possessed, sensible, sober, sound, steady, together*, well, and wise.
(+1)#32, that would have been great if you'd actually read through your list enough to notice that a couple of things quickly give it away as being copy/pasted from an online thesaurus.
(-1)I didn't say I made this up on my own, of course I copied and pasted it. I don't have all day to think of a whole list like that!
(0)Yarrachel, you win. Absolutely, all, all in all, altogether, comprehensively, consummately, entirely, exactly, exclusively, flat out, full blast, fully, in toto, just, perfectly, quite, thoroughly, top to bottom, unconditionally, unmitigatedly, utterly, wholeheartedly, wholly.
(-1)im gonna call bs on that one
(-1)I'm gonna call bs on this comment. You're lying about not believing the OP, which means you do believe the story.
(0) I would be so pissed!
(0) Yo mama so stupid, she sold yo car fo gas money! Lol
Ok Im done

You shoulda punch the stupid dumb bitch out. She had no fucking right to sell something that is yours without asking you first. Why don't you hire some of the local hoods to gang-rape her? Because that is what she deserves!!!

(0)God, you're an idiot.
(0)God's an idiot! When did this happen?
(0)Bahahahaha, I lol'd. That's what I get, I suppose.
(0)Wow...when the hell did the FML commenters get so damned vicious?
(-1)Everyone is off their meds, including me!!! Wooooooo!!!!!!!! l,sdkjfoasdkjhlakwdjfhiasjhfdis!!!!!!1
(0)YDI for not putting the pinkslip in a private area
(0)in her private area? that sounds uncomfortable, not to mention unhygienic.
(0)oops just saw butter_cup is a boy. odd name - have you seen princess bride? but, anyway, sorry for talking about your private area...
(0)Yeah...very odd name...
(0)"TeeHee, I'm a troll. This is FAKE and GAY! teehee *Giggles*"

(-1)Wow, I just noticed I was comment number 42, that's awesome!
(0)well theres a pretty good chance when you post every 5 minutes
(-1)Don't be jealous. This is destiny.
(0)Three replies from the same person! I'm honored!
(0)I'm glad you're happy. Have a happy new year, God bless.
(+1)I am assuming likely what happened was-- the kid finds a car that does not run (or barely does in very bad shape) for little to no money. The mom agrees to buy the car. Since the kid is likely 16 and it is his 'first car' the mom keeps possessio of the title. The kid is not concerned with not having the title as he is just excited about having a car and project all his own. Kid puts lots of time and energy into said car and gets it either running or in better condition. Mom gets into a bind and needs money, she uses up all other resources and has to sell the one asset she outright owns-- even though she bought it for the kid. Its a sad story but teaches the kid a lesson he will not soon forget. This is a sad FML. Good luck. Hopefully there is a dad or other male role figure in this scenario that understands the importance of the independence a car brings a young man.
(0)Okay, fair enough scenario. But ONLY $100?
(0)Small claims court.
I am 25 worked since I was 13 to get it.
(-1)Haha that's funny :)
(-1)You look like a little shit to me
(0)25? Not 15, right?
(0)sue her
(0)yu loser o-o
(0) sell that bitches car
(0) that sucks, have her get you a new car...
(0)why are mother such bitches
(-1)Bitch move on the mom's part. However, you and sentence structure, not really on speaking terms, are you?
(0) smack a bitch
(0) damn that sucks! your mom is a bitch. a hundred bucks! jeez. I'd of been very sad
(0)BULLSHIT
(0)People need to return to start returning to their own entries to explain the whole story.
(0) that....is...low
(0) make her buy you a new car. she can't sell your stuff without your consent. especially something you've worked a whole year on. it's really not fair.
#74 - On 12/29/2009 at 1:14am by redshortsx
(0) smack a bitch
(0) smack a bitch
(+1)FYL, OP. Your mom's a fucking bitch.
(-1)Well obviously it was a shit car get the fuk over it little sook
(-1)Sell your Mom for $ 100 and get your car back.
(0)I may have to call fake on this one, as it's a yo mama joke "Yo' mama so stupid, she sold her car for gas money!"
(-1) I agree with #90!! besides if you had been working on it for several years and she was only able to get $100 out of it then she was doing you a favor... YDI!
(0)OPs mom probably said "I have a car that my son's been working on. You can have ti for 100 bucks."
They didn't say it was worth $100 but Mom probably didn't know much about cars and just wanted the money she needed.
(-1)Honestly, i`d have to bitch slap the whore. Selling something that you`ve been working hard on for years. That`s just not right.
#92 - On 12/29/2009 at 12:20pm by CooroDragon
(-1)That totally sucks. I say you get $100 bucks, call the guy who bought the car and explain that it wasn't your mother's car to sell. If he's a reasonable person, he'll understand and accept his money back and return your car to you.
And I would guess your mother did it for more than just Gas money. Probably to spite you. I've known people selling both junkers and relatively pristine cars. Usually takes about a month to find a buyer, no matter how small the cost.
(-1)I'm with 94. If its a unique car, you can probably track down the car or the buyer. Explain to them calmly what happened. There has to be some way you can scrounge up 100 dollars. If I were the buyer, I would agree that the situation was BS and sell it right back to you for the same money. I think a lot of people here would do the same.
(-1)If you own(ed) the car, you can sue her -- stolen property.
Also, I think the part I'd be the most pissed off about is that it was ONLY sold for $100. I'm sure it was worth more than that, considering you've been working on it. I'm making the assumption that you're busy doing other things as well, which is why it's taken three years, and not that it's a POS.
(0)time to cut a bitch
(0)Well u were working on it for 3 years... it wasnt getting any better
(0)The very least you should do is put sugar in her gas tank.
(0)Putting sugar in a gas tank would only possibly clog up the fuel filter, as sugar doesn't dissolve in gasoline. It may inconvenience her, and cause her some expense to replace the filter, but it wouldn't destroy her engine.
(0)Yeah, actually the best thing to do is add bleach, because it's an oxidizer, which will rust the gas can, and the engine once the car is run for a few hours.
(0)she's only a bitch if she did anything for you
(0)sell her car for $200 and buy back your old one. have a nice day
(0)this is when you sell something precious of hers
(0)i have a friend genna and she is like 11 and she would do something like that
#115 - On 01/02/2010 at 1:11am by FunnyBunny1632
(0)Cool story, bro.
(0)you should sell something of hers and said I sold it for a car :p
(0)why are you so dumb?...why in the world would you have YOUR car in your mother's or anyone else's name?...you deserved it for being so stupid...
(0) @ 57Ndanick1193 dude u don't know how old the person is bitch and if he was workin on it for 3 years it had to be expensive sadistic hoe
(0)fuk her, how about she get her own gas money, now u don't have a car an ur 3 years are lost
(0)what a bitch. how is she gonna sell a car ur restoring. wat kind of car was it?
(+1)what a bitch, if I were u I'd make her buy it back for you, and pay for gas in it for a month, then during the month she's paying take a road trip.
(0)How come she had the title to be able to sell it?
(0)that bitch!! she should've at least sold it for more money!!!
steal her car and sell it!! >:D
