Well considering she waited til his portion had cleared, it leads me to believe she cannot afford the place on her own. So if he leaves, hopefully she wont be able to afford the place anymore and gets evicted. Serves her right pulling a bitch move like that.

Agree 70, I took it to mean that now he is locked in with this apartment that he can't afford because she broke up with him and he will now be on his own. That said, the way it is written makes this very ambiguous, a little more clarity next time OP?
