#72: You do realize that many kids DO wan't to talk to their parents & actually do pay attention to sex ed. At a lot of schools sex ed/health preaches abstinence only, and so do the parents. Or if a kid comes home & asks about sex the parents automatically assume that the kids are having sex. When it is not always the case, so maybe if more parents were open minded and schools taught kids about condoms & stds or birth control we wouldn't have this problem. Don't blame the kids for not knowing what to do, blame them for not being taught what they should.

And what is wrong with parents knowing you had sex? I remember back when I was 16/17 and had my first sexual relationship, my mom just said "use a condom, and not while we're in the house." Maybe I had a more liberal household, but you're at least close to being an adult. Make your parents acknowledge that fact.

Euhm what the hell is wrong with teenage sex if they know what they're doing? If you're not properly educated its your own fault, you could ask parents/school or simply look it up on the web.
What worries me most is that alot of people here are mainly worried about their parents finding out. Parents who don't know whats going on in their kids life fail at parenting. Number 1 mistake; they forbid, and kids will do it quietly without their parents knowing. Wouldnt you rather know what your kids were up to and assist them, even if you don't like whats going on, rather than not knowing and getting a heartattack knowing youre going to be granddad in 8 months?
Narrowminded people here... Sex is one of the most natural things and theres nothing wrong with it, if you have the proper knowlegde of concequences and youre physicly and mentally ready for it.
