Today, I've been diagnosed with an incurable condition in both eyes that is making me go blind. I lost my job and had to drop out of my final year in college because of this. Then my ex found out and stole my car since I "won't need it". FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, after passing various interviews and tests, I was given a great job pending a pre-employment medical test. Now I'm jobless and colorblind. FML
Today, I had a seizure at work and had to go to the hospital. I'd saved up a bunch of money and was on the verge of moving out at the embarrassing age of 26, but thanks to lackluster health insurance, I lost all of my money and am now in debt. I also now can't drive for six months. FML
Today, a week after I lost my job, my car was written off by someone rear-ending me, and both parties weren't insured. I tried to look for a new job, but all of them require that you have a vehicle. FML
Today, after being an "expert" in autism for over 40 years (yeah, I'm not a doctor, just autistic) I thought I'd seen it all. Bad relations, failed friendships and job interviews, etc. Now I find out there's such thing as a regress and I might completely lose the ability to talk. On top of that I'm losing my eyesight. Bummer. FML
Today, I broke my glasses. My eyesight is horrible, I can’t see things that aren’t super close to my face. I'm supposed to drive to another state tomorrow. FML
Today, my doctor told me that the reason I'm losing my eyesight is because I'm straining my eyes, and that the best thing for me to do is to limit my time in front of computers. I spent years in college to get my current job which involves sitting in front of computers. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because I slightly hesitated when she asked if she was beautiful. I am blind. FML
Today, my boss "borrowed" my prescription sunglasses off my desk. She crashed her car because they made her dizzy, and thinks I should pay for the damages. FML
Today, while driving to work, an idiot pulled out of a junction without looking and wiped me out. I'm now in hospital with two broken legs, looking at employment pages because I didn't give work "enough notice" about my absence. FML
Today, my boyfriend wrecked our car. Now I can't get to work in order to make the money we need to buy a new one. FML

Ouch so sorry to hear what's happening with you but I hope you called the police and also do some research there are many new ways of dealing with blindness and get ahold of the National Institute for blindness, good luck ☺️

Your ex is absolutely horrid. I hope you charge him with auto theft. Last I checked, you could see. It's up to you and your doctors to decide when you can longer drive, not him! Look into accessibility settings on your devices like high contrast or screen readers. I know some blind people that get alone just fine on the internet, and even can play video games. I was hit by a metal baseball bat as a child by a bully and lost my sight for a while. All I could see was the static you get on channel 3 until my sight came back. Also, look into a service animal. They are trained to even disobey you if stay you were crossing into an unsafe street with traffic to keep you safe.

His logic is only part right. Just because you don’t need something doesn’t entitle him to it for free. He is entitled to the Friends and Family discount when you do sell your car. Or, in this case, the Enemies and Assholes surcharge.
