Today, the people who gave me no training or instruction on how to do my job tried to fire me, because asking for clarification apparently means I'm incompetent. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I finished my last day of job training. At the beginning, the boss had told us to ask as many questions as possible. I was fired because I asked too many questions. FML
Today, despite filling all the parameters for a model employee and being praised by multiple people over the time I was working, I was fired because a client complained to my manager that I didn't seem to know what I was doing. FML
Today, I was fired without warning from my job because I was not consulting my boss about things like washing dishes and throwing away garbage. Basically, I was fired for being too good at my job. FML
Management
Today, I was fired, all because I asked my manager for help on the line when we were short staffed and he was on his butt in the office. He said it wasn't his job to help us. Apparently, asking your manager for help when you're busy gets you fired. FML
Management balls-up
Today, I was fired for not completing the required computer training, which no one told me about. I was told that it's my responsibility to check it every week. It would have been nice if a single one of my supervisors had given me any indication whatsoever that this was the case. FML
Six weeks for nowt
Today, I got in trouble at work because the person whom I trained, and had done everything correctly with no mistakes, and said he was comfortable being on his own when I asked, was screwing it all up over the course of 6 weeks. When I asked him, he said, "I think my way is better than yours." FML
Today, I got fired from my job. When I asked why, all that was said to me was, "We don't have to disclose that information, but you did nothing wrong. It's just not working out." FML
Oh, the irony
Today, I lost my job to the individual I just finished training. Within 2 hours after being escorted out, my old boss called and yelled at me for doing a lousy job. He was angry that the training was deficient and because the new person is as bad as I was. FML
Today, my boss fired me because I corrected him after he misspoke during a meeting. FML
Get out
Today, I was given my marching orders because I corrected my supervisor on something he was actually doing wrong. It seems I deserve this for "not learning to obey my immediate superiors." FML

Wait, "tried" to fire you? How'd that go down? Boss: "Look, OP, we're too lazy to tell you how to do your job, so we're going to pin it on you being incompetence. You're fired. " OP: "Nope lol" Boss: "****, get back to work then."

In order get fired here your employer must have a valid reason which satisfies the Fair Work Commission. The employer may give written or verbal warnings prior but is under no legal obligation to do so. If one is fired the usual practice is one weeks notice however if the employer does not want the employee for that week they can terminate them immediately but must pay them that extra week regardless.

I'm guessing you copy pasted that from somewhere, but it's wrong. Many states are at will states, which means you can be fired for no reason and with no warning.

Makes sense. I mean, everything's upside down in Australia.

If I were you I'd start looking for another job.

Agreed, if they tried to fire you once over something that isn't even your fault, then they're definitely going to try again.

INTERVIEWER: "You ever fly a Boeing before?" OP: "Oh, yeah. All the time." *was a fry cook before*

I had a boss admit that the problem was that he never trained me... in the speech he was giving me to let me know I was being fired.

That'd be cause for a call to HR and/or lawyer for an unlawful terminating suit

It's amazing how many companies in the world do that. They bring you in, give you minimal on the job training if any... and when you ask for clarification or a simple refresher, they chastise you and call you incompetent.
