Today, my son ruined our fairly new 60 inch smart TV by giving it a bath with his squirt gun. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I bought myself a brand-new 52" flatscreen. It was only in my house for 2 hours before my toddler had a tantrum, threw a toy right into the screen and wrecked it beyond repair. I paid to have a nice TV for 2 hours. FML
Thanks, weather!
Today, I bought a brand new TV that cost a pretty penny. I took it home and it had a defect. After a lot of arguing, I was able to exchange the TV for another one. I got it home and it worked amazing. Later on, we had a bad rainstorm, which flooded my room and screwed up not only my new TV, but my PS5, Xbox, and laptop. FML
Today, my four year old got mad that he couldn't find his favorite character on the Wii. So, he decided to smash the Wii remote into my $700 LCD TV, shattering the screen. That was the only TV in the house, and the $80 service plan I bought doesn't cover accidental damage. FML
Nintendon't
Today, I had my son do some chores around the house. I was fairly proud of him for doing it himself, until he told me he accidentally washed his Nintendo in his sheets, and now it doesn’t work. I can’t afford a new one and he now refuses to do chores because, “I did and look what happened!” FML
Ruined
Today, I purchased a brand new television. Not long after the professional who hung it on my wall left, it came crashing down on my hardwood floor. I'm now left with a busted TV, a tear in my living room wall, and a severely drained bank account. FML
Red Forman's spirit lives on
Today, my idiot son tried to load the dishwasher while the dishes inside were clean. FML
So cute
Today, my youngest decided my phone needed a bath in the toilet. FML
Today, I came home to find my eight-year-old son had basically set fire to the kitchen, after trying to practice some kind of stupid shit he'd seen on TV called "fire bending." FML
Warranties don't cover kids, do they?
Today, my two year-old fell with a toy in her hand. The TV isn't even paid off yet. FML
Hair care
Today, my shower is being renovated so I washed my hair in the kitchen sink. I put my two year-old son on the counter next to me so I could keep him close. As I was rinsing out my hair, my son started playing with the light switches. He flicked the garbage disposal by accident. FML

Just wondering why you would squirt water on the tv ... even with kid logic. Because I can? Because it's there?

You know what they say, smart TV, braindead son. Or at least, I think they say that.

I've never understood the idea of letting a kid have a toy gun to shoot at whatever he/she wants... Hopefully, if your son ever has his hands on a real gun, he will know the difference, and will have a good idea of firearm safety.

As a gun owner with a toddler, I will say that my kid will not be allowed to have any kind of toy gun until she does understand the difference.

My youngest son ruined two 50'' tvs. Once by throwing a Wii remote at it (by accident). The other by throwing a tv remote at his brother. I feel your pain OP.

Oh, I get it, he saw something dirty on tv and thought he needed to clean it up!

Should look into contents insurance with accidental damage cover. Especially if you have a water pistol toting toddler in the house!

He was just yearning for more quality family time. Now you can tell stories, play music and play board games.

60 inch TV is so 2017, get something that's more 2018.

How old is your son? if he's too young to know better, then YDI for giving him a watergun and not supervising him, if he is old enough, then FYL and I recommend that his next birthday/Christmas present be a new tv for the family.

Why do your children have access to water pistols in the house ?
