Today, my sister insisted on taking a picture of her plate of pasta “to show her friends what an unworthy family we are”. It was only after she put a candle on her plate that we realized we forgot her birthday. All of us. FML

On one hand, I have learned that you need to be proactive in life. She should have been reminding people, if she wanted people to remember. On the other hand... Dude. You have FAILED. You all failed SO. HARD. Your failure shall echo in the halls of time for as long as there is internet. It is carved in digital stone, emblazoned with the sigil of that pasta and candle. FYL? No... I forgot my mom's birthday one year. She gave me a somewhat hard time. When she forgot her mom's birthday, she apologized to me. It happens! I would find that reaction hilarious!

If you're the parent who had the lovely experience of labor you'd think you'd remember! FHL not yours, this is way worse for her! My dad forgot my birthday once and it still hurts my feelings

I remember when my mother forgot my birthday when I was young. It sucked. So I understand why she feels bad about that. So it's more of an FML for her.

my last birthday, which was August, my older sister who is a teacher asked me to come help her decorate her classroom and move things around. About 3 hours in her husband sends her a text reminding her it was my birthday. She completely forgot.
